[B 13] Bowen's Map of the West Indies. Emmanuel Bowen's map entitled An Accurate Map of the West Indies..., first issued in the 1740s, shows the West Indies, Central America and parts of New Spain, the Gulf Coast region, and the British possessions as far north as the Chesapeake Bay. Forts, settlements and Indian villages along the Mississippi River are also identified. Also plots the Spanish Gold Fleet route and the route of passage from London to the West Indies and on to the British colonies in North America.

THE CAROLINAS, ALABAMA, GEORGIA & FLORIDA
[S 57] The Eastern Carolinas - 1775. Reproduced from a portion of Robert Sayer and J. Bennett's larger 1775 map of North and South Carolina, titled "An Accurate Map of North and South Carolina...From Actual Surveys by Henry Mouzon and Others. .." with information gathered from the Mouzon surveys, this two sheet set depicts the populous eastern and coastal areas of the Carolinas, showing roads, rivers, creeks, ferries, courthouses, settlements, precincts and townships, as well as some large landholders. The lower sheet includes an inset of Port Royal Harbor (Hilton Head). These two sheets cover the most thickly settled areas of the Carolinas at the time of the Revolution.

[S 4] North and South Carolina Circa 1825.
With an inset plan of Charleston, this map details the county lines, roads, towns, rivers
and creeks in both states. The coastal islands are identified, as are many lakes.

[S 8] Alabama and Georgia Circa 1825. In addition to showing county lines, roads and principal towns, this map has an inset plan of the city of Savannah. The Creek and Cherokee boundary lines are shown and the major rivers and creeks in both states are named. Printed on 11" x 17" cream-colored paper.

[S 44] Alabama: 1878. This large scale map, entitled Gray's New Map of Alabama, was first issued by Frank A. Gray in 1878 and later updated with the latest 1880 census population data. Our copy was reproduced from an original issued about 1881. The map locates counties, railway lines, rivers and creeks and many small villages and towns. Ideal for locating small settlements in this Gulf Coast state.

(S 48) Georgia: 1895 Originally issued by Rand, McNally & Co. for the 1895 edition of their New Business Atlas, this map shows county divisions, rivers, creeks and small towns and settlements throughout the state. 63 railroad lines and their stations are also identified.

[S 9] Florida Circa 1825. A fascinating cartographic picture of the new state, this map, printed on 11" x 17" cream-colored paper, identifies county lines, Indian territories, and the few roads and settlements in the region. The Florida Keys, Bimini, and part of "Great Bahama Island" are also shown.
